A world-renowned American wire & cable company recently reached out to Dalian Konform for a continuous extrusion line to produce copper strip with a minimum thickness of 0.38mm, thickness tolerance of ±0.01mm and a width-thickness ratio as much as 37. The requirements are so high that a traditional continuous extrusion line simply cannot meet them.

Dalian Konform decided to choose one of its latest and the most advanced models, 300H, to answer this challenge. Originally designed in 2018, 300H is highly productive, efficient, and environment-friendly. For copper flat wire, its output rate can reach 800kg/h with the power consumption at 120～130kWh/ton. For aluminum flat wire, the maximum output rate is 260kg/h at 240～260kWh/ton.

Numerous modifications and adjustments were applied to achieve high precision the client demanded, including rod pre-treatment, temperature control for tooling and product, low-resistance die and chamber, constant tension controlled traverse take-up stand, and additional rolling machines.

After months of R&D efforts, in the trial production, the newly customized and improved 300H can produce copper strip of 15.75*0.38mm at an output rate of 300kg/h, while keeping the thickness tolerance within +/-0.013mm. This line will be shipped to the client shortly and will be installed and commissioned in 2021 spring.
